Forest fire in Dalaman area is under control
The heartbreaking news about a forest fire yesterday afternoon July 10th came from Dalaman area. A forest fire broke out around 3pm and spread across a large area in hours covering the stretch from Dalaman to Gocek which is a popular luxury resort on South Western coast in Turkey. About 350 hectares of forestland was burned, according to the Agriculture and Forestry Ministry. The forest fire was battled by 520 firefighters, 13 helicopters, 105 water tankers, and 18 bulldozers. The houses and villages and even an animal shelter in the zone of the fire were evacuated on time. Due to this there were no casualties or property losses. The forest fire in Dalaman area is now under control.
