The New Year may seem like it is only over but there’s another school holiday on the horizon in the form of the winter half term in Turkey.
Most school children can expect to enjoy a two-week’s holiday this month, falling roughly halfway through the term.
We take a look at when half term is coming up and the school holiday dates for the 2023-24 academic year across Turkey so you can plan ahead or around these dates 🙂
When is the Winter half term holiday?
In Turkey most schools will be on half term holiday from 22 January – 02 February 2024.
When are the school holidays in 2024?
The majority of schools in Turkey are following this pattern:
Spring / Summer term 2024
Start of term: Monday 05 February, 2024
Mid Term Holiday: Monday 08 April to Friday 12 April, 2024
End of term: Friday 14 June, 2024
Religious Festival of Ramazan Bayramı or Eid al-Fitr (‘Şeker Bayramı’, ‘Bayram of Sweets’): Tuesday 09 April – Friday 12 April, 2024
