LESSENING RESTRICTIONS IN TURKEY

Dear Friends We hope you are all safe and healthy.Here’s the latest news about the lessening of the restrictions in Turkey. The restaurants and cafes are open from 7am until 7pm in all areas except for the extremely high risk area. Limited to 50% capacity. (effective 02/03/2021) Curfew hours imposed from 21:00 until 05:00 am are continued in all of the country. (effective 02/03/2021) Weekend lockdowns are lifted for low risk areas. (effective 02/03/2021)Sunday lockdowns are continued in high risk areas. (effective 02/03/2021)Weekend lockdown is continued in extremely high risk areas. (effective 02/03/2021) 65+ and under 20 years old restrictions are lifted for low and minor risk areas.High risk and extremely high risk areas restrict the hours to be out from 10:00 – 14:00 for people over 65 years of age, while anyone younger than 20 can go out from 14:00 – 18:00. Health Alert: COVID-19 Related Restrictions in Turkey – Update

April 14, 2021 The Government of Turkey announced the following measures to combat COVID-19 in Turkey, which are going into effect at 19:00 on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in all provinces, for the following two weeks: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: curfew in effect from 19:00 to 05:00* exceptions to the curfew will apply to tourists Saturdays and Sundays: curfew in effect from Friday at 19:00 to Monday at 05:00*exceptions to the curfew will apply to tourists Convenience stores (market), groceries, bread shops, butchers, nut shops as well as production, manufacturing, supply chains, and health workers are exempt from the weekend curfew. It is so true when they say ‘You never know when you might be seeing someone or somewhere for the last time. For us it was the 19th of July 2021 when we travelled to Icmeler to take photos and videos to share in the morning views article… This morning’s views were not something we would like to share with you. But we know you care and share the deepest sorrow about the loss and damage the wildfire has been causing since yesterday. For the past 24 hours Turkey has been fighting against the most catastrophic wildfires in history. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are affected in Icmeler, Aydin, Manavgat, Didim, Adana, Bodrum and the firefighters who are putting all efforts to stop the fire. The summer heats up on the 01st of July with another ease of restrictions in Turkey. There is no curfew hour and Sunday lockdowns any longer. Restrictions on transportation capacity as well as seating capacity in cafes and restaurants have been lifted. However, music is allowed only until midnight. Forest fire on the last lockdown Sunday in Icmeler Marmaris Today’s the last lockdown Sunday, but also the first time the forest fire broke out above Icmeler, Marmaris. A large number of firefighters rushed to the scene, but the main support always comes from above, the helicopter firefighters were fast to fight the forest fire today. The weather is hot and windy, the main reasons to cause fire in the coastal towns, and we hear of a series of fires in Bodrum and Kaş on previous days. We hope for the minimum affect on our are and praise the firefighters who are saving the green and blue shades of the region.   The forest fire that broke out in Icmeler Marmaris on Sunday morning 27.06.2021 could be seen all over the resort. What you need to know about the 15th of July in Marmaris Turkey

Democracy and National Unity Day 15/07/2021 Turkey marked the 5 anniversary of the day of a failed coup attempt and the martyrs who died while protecting democracy against the coup plotters. July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day is an official holiday celebrated with Nationwide ceremonies. Major events took place in Marmaris and we have revisited this location to take photos. The coup plotters were able to target the best landing spots on this beach five years ago… As we were leaving the TV production team of the main national channel TRT have arrived to make a coverage from the same location. From fires to floods Icmeler, Marmaris

As the world marks the palindrome date associated with 22.02.2022 or a Twosday, today was not an ordinary Tuesday for the local community in Icmeler either. Heavy rainfall caused another flood around the resort in Icmeler. Unfortunately, this is not the first flood and the most devastating flood happened back in December. The local authorities are cleaning and performing all kind of maintenance around Icmeler. However, the area became prone to flooding as a result of wild forest fire in the summer and later clear-cuts or forest-felling when all of the trees were removed.
