Marmaris is on the way to becoming a Ghost Town Very sad and eeries sights of Marmaris afternoons: the streets are deserted after new rules come into affect. The local authorities went ahead and banned beach access in Marmaris and Icmeler. Police are enforcing this ban with fines of 400 TL for breaking the rule.So this is the second week when we are not able to pack up from home and walk or drive to the beach for a change of scene. People are only allowed to walk or drive ALONE for shopping and essential needs. Everyone should wear a mask and maintain two meters distance from others. Public transportation drivers and passengers in Marmaris including buses, minibuses, dolmus, taxi are enforced to wear masks. All public transportation must be disinfected regularly as required. Yet again Marmaris is on the verge of lockdown

The updated lockdown for everyone in Marmaris, Turkey Marmaris is on the verge of another lockdown scheduled on June 20th and June 27th 2020. This is a slightly relaxed lockdown from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM (15:00 hrs). Everyone is required to stay home except the gradutating students who will be taking their graduation exams on this date. This lockdown reflects how much importance is placed on children in Turkey in general. Authorities believe the lockdown will help students concentrate on the exam. Previously we told about the ease of lockdown restrictions, at varying speeds across the Turkey, but July and the rest of the season look promising. Roll on July!

For many of you this costs less than their daily breakfast cost at home. More entry bans to Turkey: What countries have joined the list? UPDATED More entry bans imposed by the Ministry of the Interior of Turkey. The latest bans will become into affect on March 17th 2020 08:oo AM in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Turkey.  The past five days had therefore seen more entry bans than the previous years. What are the countries in the newly imposed ban? These countries are UK, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Switzerland, Ireland, Germany, Spain, France, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands. Nationals of these countries are free to leave Turkey. However, Turkish nationals are currently advised against travelling to any of these European countries.
