Today we are happily sharing the news about breaking a record on the Turtle Beach near Dalyan. The number of Caretta caretta sea turtle nests has reached 700 on July 23 2020 as Yakup Kaska, the head of the local Sea Turtle Research, Rescue and Rehabilitation Center (DEKAMER) reports. You never know when you might be seeing somewhere for the last time… Icmeler….

It is so true when they say ‘You never know when you might be seeing someone or somewhere for the last time. For us it was the 19th of July 2021 when we travelled to Icmeler to take photos and videos to share in the morning views article… This morning’s views were not something we would like to share with you. But we know you care and share the deepest sorrow about the loss and damage the wildfire has been causing since yesterday. For the past 24 hours Turkey has been fighting against the most catastrophic wildfires in history. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are affected in Icmeler, Aydin, Manavgat, Didim, Adana, Bodrum and the firefighters who are putting all efforts to stop the fire. Is it dangerous to swim in the sea in Marmaris?

Is it dangerous to swim in the sea in Marmaris? Is it dangerous to swim in the sea in Marmaris? For many years Marmaris beaches were safe for swimming all year round. However, with the latest news about a shark visiting Marmaris bay on Monday July 04th 2022 put the safety of swimming in question. As you will recall the big fish was chased away by brave local men with… a mop?! Later on the same day the officials said it wasn’t a shark but a Mediterranean garfish (Belone belone) also known as the garpike or sea needle. Apparently it was hunting near the shore in Marmaris. It could have been a juvenile fish that tend to remain in shallower waters until they grow.
