The National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, established by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and dedicated to children of Turkey and the world is celebrated every year on the 23rd of April. Unfortunately, it will not be celebrated by the communities due to pandemic this year. Although most of the local businesses in Marmaris remain closed since last year, we are happy to say these businesses started to fly the flags for the 23rd of April. The president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced a national lockdown for Turkey to bring the number of positive cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The lockdown will begin from the 29th of April at 19:00 hrs. to end on the 17th of May 05:00 AM. People are told to stay at home and shop at local markets or supermarkets closest to their homes, and to work from home where it is possible to do so. This is all that is allowed until the 17th of May. This also means our #morningviews campaign will be forced to stop during the lockdown. Yet we will be loading earlier photos and videos online and share more great content from Marmaris and Icmeler.
