The maintenance team has stopped all flight operations in Dalaman airport after discovering a crack in the runway.
Monday’s news has it that several cracks were discovered in the runway at Dalaman airport during the routine control. Due to that all flight operations have been temporarily suspended at Dalaman airport. The flights are reverted to Bodrum airport or Antalya airport. So far five flights were diverted to different airports. The maintenance teams at Dalaman airport have initiated the necessary work to restore the runaway. It is expected that the operations will resume in a reasonably short time period.
Needless to say it is going to be a long day for all handling, operations staff as well as the holiday makers.
