Will Marmaris prices rise this year?

Will Marmaris prices rise this year? Will Marmaris beaches be opening soon?

A new season will show if we will be paying more for hotels, bars and restaurants in Marmaris. According to the restaurants in Marmaris that have reopened in June 2020 their prices have not changed since pandemic closure.

The seaside cafes on the Long Beach are serving Turkish Breakfast for the old 250 Turkish lira price or just £7 GBP or €8 Euros. For many of you this costs less than their daily breakfast cost at home.

The exchange rates are at their highest with a 1 GBP to 8,6 Turkish liras, 1 Euro to 7,7 Turkish liras and 1 USD to 6,8 Turkish liras.

Yet one reason for the price increase is demand. We believe that Marmaris will have a record visitor growth as soon as the borders are open.

Last year Marmaris attracted nearly 2 million holiday makers, slightly more than 2018’s figure. Many people consistently make more visits to Marmaris every year.

Marmaris beaches are open for visitors, the visitors are not required to wear a mask on the beach or in the sea, according to Marmaris Governor’s decision. You may find full details about face masks in our recent article https://www.marmarisinfo.com/to-wear-or-not-to-wear-a-face-mask-in-marmaris
