Lockdown restrictions for citizens and residents aged 65 and over and under 18:No restrictions will be imposed on citizens and residents of 65 years old and older for those who have received two doses of the vaccine Citizens and residents of 65 years and older who have not been vaccinated with two doses are allowed to go out on weekdays from 10:00 until 14:00. Restrictions for children and young people under the age of 18 are lifted. All non-essential retail are open from 07:00 – 20:00 daily Shopping malls are open. However, the sale of electronics, toys, stationery, clothing and accessories, alcohol, home textiles, auto accessories, garden supplies, hardware, glassware is not allowed on Sundays. Saturday is no longer restricted but out of the habit we stayed home hence there were no photos and videos till now, except for home cooking 🙂 The Long beach is a 7 km stretch of sand, popular with families looking for a traditional seaside experience. The beach has excellent services including cleaning and sunbeds and umbrellas rentals. The Long beach in Marmaris is called Uzunyali in Turkish and offers superb views to the Paradise island.

Marmaris is one of the top sun, sea and sand holiday destinations. The depth of the sea is shallow for a long stretch. Marmaris beaches have sunbeds, shades, watersports, snacks and drinks. The beach friendly months are May to November. Marmaris beaches are family friendly as it is actually in a bay, which protects it from waves, making the water very calm most of the time.

We’ll stick to the rules as the weekend curfew is still observed in Turkey. Just like many we are becoming miserable stay-at-home. But because we are we will be finishing another project – the up – to – date report for the Post Office Holiday Money Report. According to its recent publication ‘Not only was Turkey voted one of the destinations rated best value by British holidaymakers – see page six of the attached report brochure – but Marmaris was runner-up in the Worldwide Holiday Costs Barometer featuring 46 destinations.
