What’s going on in Marmaris on the Children’s Festival Day
The 23rd of April is the National Sovereignty and Children’s Festival Day in Turkey celebrated with a focus on future our children. This important date was established by our greatest leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Marmaris is so festive since this is the first celebration since COVID-19 pandemic.
Children have enjoyed the music, face painting, clowns and their favourite cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse at the Macera (Adventure) Park.
Main events will take place tomorrow 23.04.2022, in the following order:
On the central fountain Square called 19May Youth and Sports square
@ 13:00 Dance, music and stage performance
@ 13:00 Children Drawing Exhibition by two schools
At the Science Park in Icmeler
@ 15:00 Children Workshop and differen entertainment
On the 23rd and 24th of April 2022 the entrance to Macera (Adventure) Park will be FREE of charge. Visit for more fun outdoors, games and picnics.
Last but not least a Coast guard ship is open for visiting in Marmaris harbour.
The Children’s Day in Turkey is also unique in a way that the government officials leave their posts to kids for one day, and this includes our President, ministers and mayors! This is just another way to show that the future of our country is in the hands of today’s children.
This is a very emotional day in Turkey, as the activities center around the children and youth, bringing the childhood memories back.
