The Aegean resorts of Marmaris, Icmeler, Datca, Fethiye and Bodrum are not your typical destinations in Türkiye.
Travellers who come to Marmaris, Icmeler, Datca, Fethiye and Bodrum don’t want to do the ‘all inclusive’ holiday, where you sit at the beach, by the pool and do nothing. People come here to explore the Aegean coast. It would be impossible for an all-inclusive holiday to succeed here or compete with other international destinations.
The Aegean resorts have become a part of a broader shift in resort travel. Each resort offers a vibrant atmosphere where guests can unwind and socialize. As more travellers prioritise connection, authenticity and exploration, Marmaris, Icmeler, Datca, Fethiye and Bodrum are for those who are seeking for more experiences, more adventures, as well as an access to meaningful local experiences. From resort life, nature hikes and cultural outings to restaurant dinners and self-drive road tours the Aegean resorts have it all.
This blend of ease and engagement appeals to many travellers. This has encouraged more countries to expand air transportation to the Turkish resorts of the Aegean coast this summer of 2026. According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Turkish Airlines flights from Moscow to Bodrum will operate from Vnukovo from June 11 to October 12 five times a week – on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
From Saint Petersburg, the program includes two Turkish resorts – Bodrum and Dalaman. Departures are on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flights to Bodrum will operate from June 13 to October 3, while to Dalaman – from June 10 to October 7, 2026.
The Russian airline Aeroflot is expanding its flight schedule to the Aegean coast. Starting August 12, 2026 Aeroflot planes will fly daily from Moscow to Dalaman. Previously, flights were operated three times a week. From August 13, 2026 flights on the Moscow-Bodrum route will be operated on a larger plane. Currently, Airbus A320 planes fly to Bodrum, but Airbus A330s will be used, which have 138 more passenger seats. Flights will remain daily.
The expansion in transportation has affected flight prices. They have dropped significantly.
