Overstayed your visa in Marmaris, Turkey? Official information on what you should do in July.

Have you overstayed your visa while in Marmaris, Turkey due to Coronavirus COVID-19? You are not alone. Here is official information on what you should do this month.

Due to pandemic Turkey announced that no fines or penalties will be applied to foreign nationals who overstay the visa expiration date. These were part of the extreme measures due to COVID-19. Now that international flights are resuming the citizens of UK should leave Turkey before the 12th of July. This applies only to those nationals who overstayed their visa in Turkey due to COVID-19.
What happens if you don’t leave before the 12th of July?
An administrative fine will apply to anyone departing from 12 July to 11 October 2020.
For anyone departing on 12 October onwards will be banned from Turkey for a period of time determined by the length of overstay.
