More entry bans to Turkey: What countries have joined the list? UPDATED

More entry bans imposed by the Ministry of the Interior of Turkey. The latest bans will become into affect on March 17th 2020 08:oo AM in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Turkey.  The past five days had therefore seen more entry bans than the previous years.

What are the countries in the newly imposed ban? These countries are UK, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Switzerland, Ireland, Germany, Spain, France, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands. Nationals of these countries are free to leave Turkey. However, Turkish nationals are currently advised against travelling to any of these European countries. Sadly, Italy is on top of the list as previously announced.

Any other nationals will be refused entry if they traveled to China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Germany, Spain, France, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands within 14 days before the date of entry to Turkey.

These travel restrictions are valid until further official notice.
