How to Travel from Marmaris to Selimiye
Selimiye is approximately 40 km from Marmaris and can be reached by car, taxi or public transport. The journey usually takes around 40–50 minutes, depending on the route and traffic.
By Public Transport
The easiest budget option is the Marmaris–Selimiye bus operated by MUTTAŞ. Buses run from Marmaris to Selimiye throughout the day, with the route passing through Değirmenyanı, Hisarönü, Orhaniye and Turgut before reaching Selimiye.
By Car
From Marmaris, follow the Datça road and turn towards Hisarönü. Continue through Orhaniye and Turgut to reach Selimiye. The drive takes approximately 40–50 minutes.
By Taxi or Private Transfer
A taxi or private transfer offers a more convenient option, particularly for families or groups, and takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
Tip: If you are travelling for a festival event in Selimiye, check the return bus times in advance, as the last services from Selimiye may be earlier than expected.
How to Travel to Taşlıca from Marmaris
Taşlıca is located on the Bozburun Peninsula, approximately 55–60 km from Marmaris. The journey takes around 1 hour by car, depending on the route and road conditions.
By Car
From Marmaris, follow the Marmaris–Datça road and take the turn towards Hisarönü and Selimiye. Continue through Söğüt and follow the road to Taşlıca. Taşlıca is approximately 5 km from Söğüt.
By Public Transport
Public buses operate between Marmaris and Taşlıca. The route is relatively limited, so visitors are advised to check the latest departure times before travelling. Current timetable listings show services on the Marmaris–Taşlıca route, although schedules may vary by day.

A taxi or private transfer is a convenient option, particularly for families and groups. The journey takes approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic and road conditions.
