International Air Games 2016 in Fethiye Oludeniz

One of the main sports events in Turkey was celebrated by the annual International Air Games festival on Oludeniz beach in Fethiye from the 11th to the 15th of October 2016. The festival has been successfully organized since 17 years and this year was no exception. The organizers inform that this is the second largest show of this kind in the world, including paragliding, paramotoring, hangliding, skydiving, base jumping and remote controlled airplanes. Professional and amateur pilots attend the air games in Oludeniz and come from all over the world.

This year the festival participants included top acrobatic paragliders in the world: Horacio Llorens Fernandez from Spain, Alain Lehoux from France, Sebastian Kahn from Austria, Vesco Ovharov from Bulgaria and Petar Loncar from Serbia; Austria’s top female paragliding aerobatics pilot Vera Emmeneg, and the winner of the women’s world acrobatic competition Christina Kolb.

Marmaris is located 126 km from Oludeniz, the nearest airport is Dalaman, and the port in Fethiye is connected by hydrofoils to the nearby Greek island of Rhodes.
