Marmaris Fires Update. The mayor of Marmaris Mehmet Oktay gave us miraculous news, announcing that all of the wildfires in Marmaris districts and villages have been put down. The firefighters and rescue teams have moved to Muğla, Milas and Köyçeğiz where the wildfires continue.
Today there is a sense of relief in the air for the people of Marmaris, however everyone is worried about the people and areas affected by wildfires in Turkey. We now fully understand how it feels and our hearts and prayers are with the people who are affected.
