Dear MarmarisInfo: I visited your site shortly before visiting this wonderful city of Marmaris. I was especially pleased to be able to see a 5 day weather forecast, which helped a great deal. One suggestion I might make is that you could include a section on the latest news from the region. Or perhaps even a couple of links to other sites providing such information. The reason I am suggesting this is because I arrived in Marmaris just one week after a small earthquake has shaken the place. In the press from England there were all sorts of stories and I nearly did not come to Turkey (mainly because myself and girlfriend were taking her 2 1/2 year old son and we did think it might not be safe). When we arrived we were told the real truth about the quake and the results. Had we known this there simply would not have been a problem. We might have missed out on a fantastic holiday. We could not believe just how friendly Turkish people are, they loved the little boy and really made his holiday so special. In fact we all made some very good Turkish friends who we will stay in contact with. The hotel we stayed in was called the Hotel Corner Karacan, it is not featured on your site, I believe it deserves a mention as it was superb. The staff were excellent, always smiling, always ready to help. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean and tidy, with everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. Another suggestion might be to expand on the trips and entertainment you can find in Marmaris, there really is so much to do, no all has been listed here. Perhaps this will promote Marmaris more. We are going to book another holiday in Marmaris for early next year (May/June). Only thing which remains to be said is that we can honestly say that this has been the best holiday either of us has ever had. And we will be coming back in the near future.
