Property in Turkey is becoming
increasingly popular for the foreign purchaser, as more and more
people find the prices affordable and the Turks themselves charming
neighbours. Increasingly efficient air services and new airports have
made Turkey accessible all year round. The first estate agents opened
their doors in the Aegean region a mere ten years ago and since then
many foreigners have bought property in Aegean Turkey, some as
permanent residences or retirement homes, others as holiday homes. The
laws governing property sales are no more complicated than in France
or the UK, but they are different. In order to cope with the current
regulations it is essential that any would-be purchaser engages a
competent property lawyer, ideally well before the negotiations
commence. |
