Cat Shelter Fundraising
Every Thursday we have a stall on the open air
market at Siteler, opposite Grand Azur hotel on
the main road between Marmaris and
Icmeler. The mayor of Armutalan Mohamed Unlu has
given me two moveable stalls and permission to
join the Thursday market at Siteler opposite the Grand Azur each Thursday.
We are easy to find as we are situated at the
entrance to the market. The stall is provided by
the municipality. All monies raised
are for food and medicine. We desparately need
second hand books and I know most of you always
bring books with you to read on
your holiday. Most people leave them in their
hotels when they go home. We would be grateful
if you could leave them with us to
sell for the cats and dogs. The largest
percentage of fundraising money comes from
selling second hand books. So it is great when
we have all the new releases.
This stall is our only source of regular
funding. We desperately need to keep it stocked
with books, cat nick naks, and the items
you see on our list to bring.
People coming to Marmaris - Dalaman area can
bring the following:
* Cat nick-naks
* Cat toys
* Cat beds
* Cat souvenirs
* Cat Brik- a brak
* Anything with cats on: Tshirts, ornaments,
cups, plates, books
* 2009 Calendars
* Diaries
* Address books
Even if you are coming to another resort in
Dalaman area you can come to Marmaris any
Thursday and find us at Siteler market. Who
knows, with your kindness maybe I can raise
enough money to feed the animals for the winter
months.
